When Can I Know HIM?

God tells us that you will die once and then be judged.  In other words, once you die there will be no opportunity to trust in Christ and repent of your sins. God will judge you based on the record of your sinful life and, having no Savior to take your punishment for you, you will experience first-hand the just wrath of God.

If you’re reading this you can be sure that judgment day for you will be within the next 80 years. The sad truth is that your judgment day is much nearer; perhaps only hours from now. Like John F. Kennedy, your life could be taken from you by a gunshot wound at age 46. Perhaps like Princess Diana, your life could end in an automobile accident at age 36. Consider Steve Irwin the “Crocodile Hunter.” His life ended at age 44 when his heart was pierced by the barb of a usually passive stingray. If wealth and privilege can’t save presidents, royalty, and celebrities, what can the rest of us expect?

If you’re reading this, you were likely met on the street by a complete stranger bearing the Good News you’ve read here. Perhaps you received a small card with the Good News printed on it. Maybe you just stumbled upon this site. Regardless, the God who rules over all things saw to it that you personally received His offer of salvation through His son, Jesus Christ. This wasn’t random chance. This very moment, God is calling YOU to repentance and trust. He is informing YOU of His great love for YOU. He is inviting YOU to “take the water of life without price.” He is assuring YOU that if YOU will call upon his name YOU will be saved, and if YOU come to him He will never cast YOU out.

When can you know Him?  Right now!  Make today the great day of your salvation. Trust in the mighty Savior God has provided. Repent of your sins. Call upon the name of the Lord and you shall be saved! Take hold of the right to be called a child of God so that it might be said of you that “The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
